One of the two main types of water coolers are bottled or bottleless. Basically, the bottled-type is your usual arrowhead or sparklett of whatever brand that delivers their 5 gallon water bottle to the office, and puts it on your rented (or owned) water cooler base.

The bottleless type is the kind that uses a professional filter, and your tap water as water source to supply water to the cooler. The cooler can also be rented and serviced by a company that take cares of everything or it could be purchased if you will be good about changing the filters and regularly do other necessary maintenace work shall they arise.

Which one is better? Well, that depends on you. Some people swear by their bottled water taste and won’t trust the filtered process. Some like the huge savings of using filtered water and really don’t think Arrowhead or Sparklett water tastes any better. It’s all up to you. What’s your priority? I’d go for the savings. =)

You’ve seen them at the offices. The water coolers or dispensers that serve up room temperature or cooled waters. Some even heat up the water and makes it hot. They come in handy throughout the day for different water temperatures depending on what you like to drink. Sometimes people like making teas and hot/warm water works better than warm for that purpose. Cooled water is more refreshing than room temperature water and is good anytime you want to hydrate yourself as well as have that cool taste in your mouth. This is definitely a good thing to have at home as well!

Some people have refrigerators with water dispensers built it. However, water dispensed from the fridge is typically filtered with a small inline filter and while it’s better than tap water, it is still not as clean or tasty as water from professional filtering units or reverse osmosis water treatment systems.

So what’s the solution? If you can afford a reasonable fee on a monthly basis, getting a water delivery service and renting a water cooler may be exactly what you have been looking for. Imagine getting that cooled purified water on demand, anytime you want to drink it, and keep yourself hydrated throughout the day when you are home. I believe this is the most hassle-free way to get clean, cool water for your family.

Be sure to check around for good deals on water coolers and compare. You’ll be surprised how inexpensive water coolers can be, and you can either have the water delivered for a monthly fee, or you can pick them up locally. It’s entirely up to you!
