Bottled water is unhygienic and environmentally unfriendly.

Studies have shown that bottled water can contain up to 1,000 times more bacteria than tap water. If kept for more than a month from the time of bottling, bottled water may contain chemicals leached from the plastic bottle that cause cancer and mimic the effects of female hormones and may thus cause a reduction in male fertility.

Bottled water requires oil to make the plastic it’s bottled in, oil or other fuel to power the bottling plant and massive amounts of gasoline to transport it from the bottling plant to the warehouse, to the store and finally home in your car.

Banning bottled water is sensible, healthy AND eco-friendly

Do you have a large area where you can have these? Instead of spending your money covering them, why not this idea:

One idea (that I LOVE) that is done LOTS where I live….get a kids small plastic pool (Walmart; Target, etc.), fill it with ice and use that instead! You can put it on the ground or on a table. They look like this, but on this site they are “unavailable”:

I have used these lots for parties and everyone says….”oh, what a good idea!”

Yes, some water coolers have both hot and cold water. There are many different models that can do it. Some with water tank like you describe, some with filters hooked up to pipes. Table top models, and floor models.

The different models often have different times of heating up water, so it can be hard to say specifically. Few of them offer any time requirements for heating the water in the descriptions/specifications found on-line.

The hot water is always stored in a separate and isolated ‘container’ yes. That’s quite correct. Helps preserve the heat, help the cooled water to stay cooled, and to lessen the energy requirements for heating the hot water.
