UK current uses 220v @ 50 hz, US current is 120v @ 60hz. If the cooler uses a motor, it may not function properly. UK plugs are also shaped differently, you will need to replace the plug and possibly get an adapter.
Have you tried Google or eBay for a counter top water cooler?
